The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) offers an 'O' Level Course in Computer Applications, which is designed to equip students with necessary skills for a job role in the field of IT. The course is offered twice a year, in January and July, and can be pursued by candidates who have completed their 10+2 or ITI certification.

The course structure includes four theory papers: Programming and Problem Solving through Python, Information Technology Tools and Network Basics, a Day for Graduates, and Structure of NIELIT 'O' Level Course. Each paper carries full marks of 100 and the examination duration is three hours.

To register for the course, students need to fill up an online form and pay the requisite fees. The registration fee for the first installment is Rs. 12,000/-, which can be paid at the time of admission. The second installment of Rs. 10,680/- needs to be paid in the second semester.

The total course fee is Rs. 22,680/-, which can be paid in two installments. The examination fee for each theory paper is Rs. 750/- + Rs. 100/- processing fee.

After completing the 'O' Level Course, students can further enroll for the next level IT course of NIELIT 'A' Level. The qualification obtained from this course is equivalent to a Foundation Level Course in Computer Applications under the DOEACC Scheme.
